A scholarship programme, a book distribution partnership reaching three countries, and an effort to build and equip model schools and classrooms.
What the programme does
The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation believes that education is the cornerstone of our future. A multi-faceted approach to education includes a scholarship programme that provides comprehensive university scholarships to academically gifted but economically disadvantaged students. To date, over 120 scholarships have been granted.
An aggressive programme to build model schools and classrooms and furnish them with access to the internet and modern equipment enables students to learn in a conducive environment. The Foundation strives to become a model for development efforts across Nigeria in its effort to develop the talents of students to allow them to contribute to society.
Book distribution runs through a partnership with Books For Africa, which has shipped to schools and universities across Nigeria and to the Gambia and Tanzania. The Waziri Alhassan Public Library in Daura was equipped under the same programme.
